So, as you can see, the frame from the monitor was barely visible in the original airing of the episode.  You can see the frame now, of course, but on TV, it was impossible to see.  They had to make the frame bigger so people at home could see it.  And so, they zoomed out, making the image smaller and the frame look bigger, and problem solved!

Too bad Thailog's hair still looks black there...
