 "Escaping while in Custody"
We know that Princess Katharine managed to escape before Hakon slayed her, and that he didn't manage to catch up with her until they were near the cliff. 
Katharine: Let me go!! I'm running away! Help!
Hakon: Get her, before she escapes!! Captain of the Guard: But you're already holding her! Hakon: Don't ask questions and just run to that cliff! Captain of the Guard: So we can both fall to our deaths? Hakon: Exactly! Goliath: [thinks]: What is going on down there? Then why does it look like Hakon and the Captain of the Guard are running to the cliff with Princess Katharine in their clutches? She doesn't even look like her feet are touching the floor, making it look like she's being dragged against her will instead of running for her life! Oh, one more thing... where'd Katharine's cape go anyway?
